Domaine de la Mordorée – Between Preserved Nature & Stylistic Ambition
A Family Passion Turned Reference
Created in 1986 by Christophe Delorme, Domaine de la Mordorée is located in Tavel, on the right bank of the Rhône. Upon his death in 2015, his wife Madeleine and his daughter Ambre Delorme continued his visionary work with rigor and sensitivity, fully integrating biodynamics.
An Extensive and Well-Cared-For Vineyard
The estate covers about 60 ha spread over 8 appellations: Tavel, Lirac, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes-du-Rhône, and Vin de France. The plots are carefully cultivated, some reaching over 60 years. The soils are very varied, ranging from the rolled pebbles of Châteauneuf to the sands of Tavel.
Organic conversion initiated in 2013, Demeter certification in biodynamics obtained in 2020.
Precise & Parcel-Based Vinifications
Manual harvesting, rigorous sorting, partial destemming depending on the cuvée. Fermentations by gravity in stainless steel or wooden vats, indigenous yeasts, very little sulfur. Aging in vats, foudres, or barrels according to the wine's profile, without excess.
A Style Combining Intensity and Refinement
The red wines offer a deep and silky texture, pure fruit, remarkable freshness, even in sunny vintages. The Tavel rosés shine with their structure, vinosity, and spicy length. The whites stand out for their tension and floral balance.
