The Domaine de la Solitude is linked to the very history of the appellation: the Lançon family, winemakers since the 16th century, are among the oldest in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Today, Florent Lançon embodies a new generation, combining tradition and technical precision.
The estate spans 35 hectares in the heart of the best terroirs of rolled pebbles, red clay, and sands of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with also vines in Côtes-du-Rhône and IGP. The vineyard is managed in organic conversion, with great attention to the soil and biodiversity.
The grape variety reflects the richness of the south:
Grenache,
Syrah,
Mourvèdre,
Cinsault,
Clairette,
Roussanne,
and other indigenous grape varieties.
The vinifications are meticulous, often by parcel or grape variety, with partial use of whole bunches for certain cuvées. The aging is adapted to each wine: Burgundy barrels, demi-muids, amphorae, or stainless steel vats depending on the desired profile.
The wines combine Mediterranean warmth with a surprising freshness, with elegant, deep reds, and floral and saline whites. The high-end cuvées offer a very good aging potential.
Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge: classic blend, generous and silky.
Réserve Secrète: high-end parcel-based cuvée (Grenache, Syrah), depth and nobility.
Barberini: structured red, aged in barrels, great aging potential.
Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc: expressive and tense Clairette-Roussanne.
Cuvée Trinita: prestige red cuvée from parcel selection.
