A magnum of pure white purity, winemaking heritage and mineral expression

A true gem of the whites of Graves, Château Laville Haut‑Brion is owned by the Dillon family (Groupe Reside). Under the guidance of Antoine Marée (general manager) and Marie Le Jean (technical director), the team works to enhance an exceptional terroir, combining tradition, longevity, and elegance.

Terroir & grape varieties

The vineyard covers approximately 5 hectares, on Garonne gravel mixed with limestone clay. It is mainly planted with Sémillon (~85%), complemented by Sauvignon Blanc (~15%), a blend cultivated and vinified to highlight finesse and saline tension.

Philosophy & winemaking

Sustainable viticulture with low yield, plot monitoring, and manual harvesting. Vinification is done in 225 L French barrels, with partial stirring. Aging lasts 18 to 20 months, without filtration, to preserve purity, balance, and notes of citrus, honey, and gunflint.

Iconic cuvées

  • Château Laville Haut‑Brion: exceptional dry white, structured or crystalline depending on the vintage. Complex bouquet, ample palate, notable tension, and saline finish.

  • Château de la Mission Haut‑Brion Blanc: a more accessible expression of the Dillon terroir, luminous and refined, with a slightly fruitier profile.
