An exceptional vintage revealed by Jean-Pierre and Christian Moueix
From a meticulous parcel selection on the Pomerol plateau, Château Hosanna was acquired in 1999 by Christian Moueix, heir to the lineage founded in 1937 by Jean-Pierre Moueix, an iconic figure of Libourne. The estate is now managed under the watchful eye of Christian and his son Édouard Moueix, with technical supervision ensured daily.

Terroir & grape varieties: concentration and elegance over 4.5 ha
The 4.5 ha vineyard rests on red gravel with "iron dirt" and clay, adjacent to Vieux-Château Certan, Lafleur, Petrus, and La Fleur-Pétrus. The grape composition consists of Merlot (~70%) and Cabernet Franc (~30%), with vines dating from the 1950s-70s, for a silky and intense structure.

Viticulture & philosophy: extreme rigor and micro-parceling
High-precision viticulture: each parcel is harvested separately, sorted at two levels, hand-picked at ideal maturity. All within a rigorous qualitative vision, faithfully aligned with the spirit of the plateau's vintages.

Vinification & aging: laser filtration and delicate aging
Vinified in thermo-regulated concrete vats with optimized sorting (laser sorting since 2009), malolactic fermentation in vats. Aging lasts 12 to 14 months in French barrels (≈50% new) with regular racking, to reveal purity, tension, and elegance.

Iconic cuvée
Château Hosanna (Grand Vin): ruby robe, nose of truffle, black cherry, graphite, and sweet spices. On the palate, balance between velvety density, saline acidity, and elegant power. The wine combines complexity and purity, with great aging potential.
