Passionate Pioneer of Pinot Noir
In 1991, David took over the family estate (founded in 1965) in Chevannes (Hautes-Côtes de Nuits). He quickly expanded his domain, including parcels of prestigious crus from Gevrey-Chambertin, Nuits-Saint-Georges, and Morey-Saint-Denis. Now organic-certified on 17 ha, he is recognized for his lively, elegant wines that are full of terroir.
Exceptional Terroirs and Natural Viticulture
Cultivated without herbicides since 1998, the estate practices plowing, grassing, and moderate aging (30–40% new barrels). The majority of the wines are vinified with whole clusters (40–80%), with gentle fermentation, indigenous yeasts, and extended aging on lees. These methods ensure exceptional aromatic purity and tannic finesse.
Style: Precision, Tension, Finesse
Whether it's the Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes "Louis Auguste," the Villages, or the Grands Crus, each wine captivates with its silky texture, vibrant minerality, and delicately spiced fruity signature. A rare combination of intensity, energy, and elegance.

Philosophy: Truth of the Place, Without Artifice
David Duband asserts: observe, listen, understand the vine like the ancients. Firmly rooted in the terroir of Burgundy climates, each parcel is vinified separately, prioritizing the essence of pinot noir in all its expressions.
