Founded in the 1970s by Jean Pinchon and later led by Robert, Domaine Niero is now in the hands of third-generation winemaker Rémi Niero. Spanning around 9 hectares across steep terraces in Northern Rhône appellations—Condrieu, Côte‑Rôtie, Saint‑Joseph, Crozes‑Hermitage and Collines Rhodaniennes—the estate produces wines of striking clarity and subtlety.
HVE‑3 certified since 2019 and transitioning towards organic farming, the domaine practices hand-harvesting, biodiversity-focused viticulture, and terroir-respecting methods. In the cellar, gentle natural fermentations, disciplined oak use, and a minimalist approach bring out the essence of Viognier and Syrah.
The whites deliver floral aromas, stone-driven freshness, and vibrant texture. The Syrah wines balance structure with silk, red fruit with spice, and a saline lift on the finish. These are wines of clarity, energy, and place—elegant and authentic.
Condrieu “Les Ravines” — Vibrant Viognier, mineral, beautifully balanced.
Condrieu “Cœur de Roncharde” — Plush, expressive, with vivid fruit and texture.
Condrieu “Vernon” — Floral, deep, a precise terroir expression.
Condrieu “Chérytage” — A top-tier blend, refined and intense.
Côte‑Rôtie “Eminence” — Syrah with density, mineral undercurrent, fine structure.
Saint‑Joseph “Bois Prieur” — Juicy Syrah, spicy and structured with freshness.
Crozes‑Hermitage “Vie Magne” — Generous, supple Syrah—approachable yet distinct.
IGP Collines Rhodaniennes “À l’Origine” — Clean Viognier, elegantly direct.
Domaine Niero may fly under the radar, but it’s a quietly influential name in Northern Rhône. Its wines appeal to those seeking purity, nuance, and the soft strength of terroir-driven Viognier and Syrah—modern, respectful, and undeniably soulful.
