Located on the heights of La Aguilera, one of the most renowned terroirs of the Ribera del Duero, Bodegas Uvaguilera is an artisanal property that combines technical precision and local identity. From its inception, the bodega has been built around a demanding vineyard, composed of both 25-year-old vines on direct slopes and very old plots, sometimes reaching 70 years, located on the neighboring slopes.
Led by a discreet but rigorous team, it produces deep, expressive wines, true to the region's king grape variety: the Tempranillo, called here Tinta Fina.
Uvaguilera claims a parcel-based and meticulous approach. Each lot is vinified separately, with precise fermentations in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The aging, carried out in French or American oak barrels depending on the cuvées, aims to highlight the fruit without overpowering it. The goal is clear: to reveal the potential of the La Aguilera terroir while maintaining balance, finesse, and depth.
Aguilera Palomero: the estate's flagship cuvée, intense and complex, from old vines.
Palomero Nueva Era: a more accessible version, aged in barrels for 4 to 6 months, supple and generous.
Vendimia Seleccionada: parcel selection of old vines, concentrated, elegant, and structured.
Other notable cuvées: Vegadero, Aero, Manjar de Silos, Magna Vides, Alma de Cántaro.
The wines of Bodegas Uvaguilera are distinguished by their contained power, ripe structure, and mineral freshness. The tannins are present but polished, the aging discreet, and the whole possesses a natural aptitude for aging. Each bottle reflects the altitude, the purity of the fruit, and the strong identity of the terroir.
