A historic merchant house
Founded around 1860 in the heart of Beaune, Coron Père & Fils has become a major player in Burgundy by focusing on a demanding selection of terroirs and vineyards. It offers a wide range of wines, from white and red Burgundies to exceptional Grands Crus, including several Premiers Crus from the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune.
Carefully chosen terroirs
With around sixty cuvées, the estate draws from prestigious appellations: Beaune (Le Clos du Roi, Les Cent Vignes), Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaut Saint‑Jacques, Nuits‑Saint‑Georges Saint‑Georges, and even Corton Grand Cru. The soils, alluvial or limestone, serve as a base for elegant, fine, and balanced Pinot Noirs.
Style: elegance, precision, indulgence
The wines are distinguished by their finesse, charming fruitiness (red fruits, cherry, wild berries), and silky tannic structure. Each cuvée offers a distinctive typicity, between delicacy, depth, and drinkability.
Iconic cuvées
Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits: perfect balance between freshness and indulgence.
Beaune Les Cent Vignes / Clos du Roi: fleshy, harmonious, and racy wines.
Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaut Saint‑Jacques Premier Cru: serious, recognized terroir.
Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Saint‑Georges Premier Cru: rooted elegance and beautiful length.
Corton Grand Cru: rare, powerful, marked by the nobility of the Grand Cru.
Philosophy: accessible quality and sustainability
Coron Père & Fils combines the know-how of a merchant with the demands of terroir: manual harvesting, traditional fermentation, adapted aging... The result? Typically Burgundian wines: accessible when young, but also capable of beautiful evolutions in the cellar.
