A unique treasure of the northern Rhône, perpetuated by the Bayon-Dandois family
The only monopoly of the Condrieu appellation, Château Grillet has belonged to the Bayon-Dandois family since 1830. Today, it is managed by François Bayon-Dandois, assisted by his daughter Élise, an oenologist, and Jérôme Lhuillier, the estate manager. The estate embodies the pure expression of Viognier on an exceptional terroir.

Terroir & grape varieties: steep granite and aromatic expression
The 3.8 ha vineyard is located in an amphitheater on steep south-facing slopes, on a cold granite base. The only grape variety is Viognier, cultivated in co-planting, promoting tension, finesse, and aromatic typicity.

Viticulture & philosophy: micro-parcel and respect for the place
Sustainable viticulture, manual work on steep plots, strict manual harvesting. Confidential production: yields are extremely limited to capture the quintessence of the terroir.

Vinification & aging: sobriety to preserve identity
Vinification in stainless steel tanks at low temperature, without malolactic fermentation, to preserve freshness, fruitiness, and purity. Aging on fine lees for 8 to 10 months, with delicate stirring, without wood, for a lively and aromatic wine.

Iconic cuvée
– Château Grillet (Monopole): pale yellow color, bouquet of white flowers, fresh apricot, flint. The palate offers tension, salinity, silky texture, and a long, vertical, and vibrant finish.
