Founded in 1584 in Aÿ by Pierre Gosset, the house embodies five centuries of Champagne tradition. Since 1994, it has belonged to the Renaud-Cointreau group while remaining true to a family heritage, now embodied by Jean-Pierre Cointreau and his team.

Key Figures

Jean-Pierre Cointreau works to modernize the facilities, while Odilon de Varine ensures the technical direction of the cellar. The duo strives to preserve the rigor and historical identity of Gosset.

Philosophy & Winemaking

Gosset follows a clear philosophy: to bring out the best of the terroirs without unnecessary interventions. The grapes come exclusively from grand and premier crus. Fermentations are carried out without malolactic, the aging on lees is long, and the use of wood is discreet. The result: lively, mineral, and intensely aromatic champagnes.

Terroirs & Vineyard

The house relies on 140 hectares of high-expression vines, from terroirs classified as grand and premier cru of the Côte des Blancs, the Montagne de Reims, and the Grande Vallée de la Marne. This ensures an elegant and sustainable style:

Iconic Cuvées

  • Grande Réserve Brut NV: rich and vinous blend, aged over 4 years on lees.

  • Grand Blanc de Blancs NV: 100% Chardonnay, mineral and precise.

  • Grand Rosé NV: light, delicate, with saline acidity.

  • Extra-Brut NV: minimal dosage, pure tension.

  • Grand Millésime & Celebris (Blanc and Rosé): prestige wines for long aging, from the best vintages.

Wine Style

Gosset champagnes are distinguished by their vibrant structure, silky texture, and length. Their signature is mineral, their mousse fine, and their personality deep. They embody the alliance of historical expertise and contemporary precision.
