The vertical power embodied in Burgundy red
Château de Pommard is an emblematic estate of the Côte de Beaune, cultivating plots on several climates (including Premier Cru) with a focus on the pure expression of Pinot Noir. It combines a powerful style, chalky minerality, and elegant tension.

Terroir & grape varieties: limestone, red clay, and Pinot Noir
The estate has about 18 hectares on clay-limestone soils with veins of iron oxide: main climates "Les Rugiens", "Les Charmots" in Premier Cru, and villages. 100% Pinot Noir from vines averaging 30 to 50 years old.

Viticulture & philosophy: respect and precision
Sustainable viticulture, Guyot pruning, and controlled grassing of the inter-rows. Manual harvesting by plot, meticulous sorting to ensure the balance of fruitiness and tannic structure according to the exposures.

Vinification & aging: balance between verticality and finesse
Vinification in stainless steel or wooden vats with long macerations (3–4 weeks). Aging for 14 to 18 months in French barrels, 30–50% new depending on the climates. Objective: depth, tension, and vertical elegance, without too much roundness.

Iconic cuvées

  • Château de Pommard Premier Cru Les Rugiens: full-bodied and powerful, aromas of black cherry, spices, bitter cocoa, and graphite. Firm tannins, long and saline finish.

  • Château de Pommard Premier Cru Les Charmots: more elegant and floral, notes of raspberry, violet, fine spices, mineral freshness.

  • Château de Pommard Village: accessible, fruity, and terroir-typical, perfect young or decanted.
