A rebirth on legendary lands
Domaine d’Eugénie was born in 2006 from François Pinault's acquisition of the vineyards of Domaine René Engel, including prestigious plots in grands crus and premier cru. The name of the estate pays tribute to his grandmother, Eugénie, thus symbolizing a deep connection between family tradition and a passion for viticulture.

An exceptional terroir with prestigious plots
The vineyard of Domaine d’Eugénie extends over emblematic appellations of the Côte de Nuits. Among the jewels of the estate are plots in Grands Crus such as Échezeaux and Grands-Échezeaux, as well as renowned Premiers Crus like Aux Brûlées and Clos Vougeot. Each plot receives special attention, reflecting the richness and diversity of the soils of Vosne-Romanée, and contributing to the creation of wines with remarkable finesse and complexity.

Environmentally friendly viticultural practices
The entire vineyard is cultivated using environmentally friendly methods. The vines are not subjected to chemical herbicides. Fertilization is organic. Soil management respects biodiversity. In this sense, Vosne-Romanée and Clos d’Eugénie have been biodynamic since 2009 and Échezeaux as well since 2010. In 2011, the entire estate underwent organic farming soil management. It was in 2017 that organic certification with Ecocert began: the 2020 harvest is the first to benefit from the certification.

Tailor-made vinification and precise aging
Significant work was undertaken to set up an efficient vinification tool in 2009. The winery is thus composed of different wooden vats allowing for plot selection and suitable thermoregulation. Thus, the grapes, after respectful soil management and meticulous sorting, macerate for a few days at cold temperatures before alcoholic fermentations.

Signature style: purity, finesse, elegance
The wines of Domaine d’Eugénie are characterized by their purity, finesse, and elegance. The Pinot Noir, the main grape variety of the estate, expresses itself with great subtlety, offering complex aromas of red fruits, spices, and flowers. The tannic structure is silky, and the length on the palate is remarkable, demonstrating the aging potential of these great wines.
