Solar authenticity, granitic expression, and refined mastery

Nestled in the heart of the appellation, Clos du Mont-Olivet is an emblematic family estate of 19 hectares, stemming from a winemaking heritage passed down since the 19th century. Situated on terraces of rolled pebbles with a limestone subsoil, it combines tradition and modernity for wines of subtle elegance.

Terroir & grape varieties

The vines are planted on pebble soil (typical rolled pebbles) mixed with clay and limestone, offering a beautiful mineral expression. The grape composition mainly consists of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, complemented by Cinsault, Vaccarèse. The whites combine Grenache blanc, Roussanne, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Picpoul.

Viticulture & winemaking

Sustainable agriculture, traditional practices with entirely manual harvesting, parcel selection. Fermentations start naturally, in stainless steel or concrete vats. Aging lasts 12 to 16 months: French barrels for reds (25–40% new wood), vats or demi-muids for whites, preserving freshness and aromatic finesse.

Style & aging

  • Red: fruity intensity (red and black fruits), garrigue, sweet spices, melted tannins, and fine balance. Capable of aging between 8 and 20 years, depending on the vintages.

  • White: floral elegance, ripe citrus, slight round texture, and saline finish. To be enjoyed between 3 and 12 years.

Iconic cuvées

  • Clos du Mont-Olivet Rouge: main wine, combining power, precision, and salinity.

  • Clos du Mont-Olivet Blanc: refined white, elegant, typical expression of the terroir.

  • Vieilles Vignes: red wine from century-old vines, deep substance, and assertive character.
