A refined balance between medieval tradition and contemporary Bordeaux style

Located in the heart of Médoc, Château Le Boscq is a historic estate whose origins date back to medieval times. Recently restored by the owning family, it is managed by Aurore Delage, accompanied by technical director Mathieu Durand and oenologist Clara Lambert, working with vision to reconcile tradition and modernity.

Terroir & grape varieties

The vineyard extends over approximately 20 hectares of Garonne gravel mixed with clay marl, ensuring both freshness and depth. The planted grape varieties are: Cabernet Sauvignon (~55%), Merlot (~35%), and a complement of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc (~10%), for a balanced, harmonious, and Médoc-typical blend.

Philosophy & winemaking

The estate practices sustainable viticulture, with partial grass cover, moderate soil work, manual harvesting, and parcel sorting. The vinifications, elaborated by parcel, are done in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats, with adapted pump-overs and punch-downs. The aging lasts about 12 to 14 months in French barrels (about 40–50% new), seeking finesse, typicity, and elegance.

Iconic cuvées

  • Château Le Boscq: the grand wine, rich and balanced, combining black fruits, sweet spices, graphite, and subtle woody aromas. Silky structure, good tension, and good aging potential.

  • Le Petit Boscq: accessible second wine, more straightforward and fruity, ready to be enjoyed in its youth while revealing its Médoc lineage.
