A family, human, and visionary adventure

Located in Fully, at the heart of the Swiss Valais, Benoît Dorsaz is one of the most respected figures in Swiss viticulture. Since taking over the family estate in 1986, alongside his wife Valérie, he embodies a unique approach to viticulture: deep, committed, ethical, and precise. Here, nothing is left to chance — every gesture, every oenological choice is made to enhance the place without ever betraying it.

A terraced vineyard, carved in stone

The estate now extends over 16 hectares of vines, all located in Fully, between 450 and 600 meters above sea level. The vines rest on granite and schist soils, shallow, with vibrant minerality. The vineyard is divided into micro-parcels, among which:

  • Prés-des-Pierres: Petite Arvine of very high level, pure, mouthwatering.

  • La Liaudisaz: Iconic parcel of the estate, on granite terraces. It produces the most mineral Fendant.

  • Les Perches: Superb terroir for Cornalin and Humagne Rouge.

  • Le Bioley, La Combe d’Enfer, Beudon: Other key sectors cultivated with precision.

The parcels are cultivated without herbicides or insecticides, in an approach of integrated and regenerative production. Biodiversity is favored, the soils are lightly worked or covered, and yields are deliberately low.

A respectful, precise, and intuitive vinification

In the cellar, Benoît Dorsaz works alone, without a consulting oenologist, true to his artisan philosophy. The grapes are harvested manually, often in several passes to respect ripeness. No yeast is added, fermentations are spontaneous, in stainless steel tanks or foudres, depending on the cuvées.

The aging is long, on fine lees, without excessive stirring. The whites undergo neither aggressive filtration nor systematic fining, to preserve the structure and energy of the wine. The use of wood is measured and always second-hand: no extraction, no masking.

Style and emblematic cuvées

The wines of the estate are tense, vibrant, with exemplary straightness, often very saline. They are crafted for lovers of finesse, terroir, and momentum.

  • Fendant "Prés-des-Pierres": Mineral, saline Chasselas, of rare purity.

  • Petite Arvine "La Liaudisaz": Absolute reference. Tense, iodized Arvine, with remarkable brilliance.

  • Cornalin "Les Perches": Black fruit, fine tannins, natural balance.

  • Humagne Rouge: Subtle, floral, fresh. A rarity treated with delicacy.

  • Clos des Amis: Confidential parcel selection, handcrafted, without compromise.

Why choose Benoît Dorsaz?

Because he produces wines in his image: humble, precise, luminous, and deeply human. The Domaine Benoît Dorsaz is not only a jewel of the Valais — it is one of the most beautiful faces of contemporary European viticulture.
