The union of Chile and Bordeaux, elegance as a legacy

Born in 1997 from the collaboration between Baroness Philippine de Rothschild (Château Mouton Rothschild) and Concha y Toro, Almaviva embodies the meeting of two major wine cultures. Located in Puente Alto, at the foot of the Andes, the estate operates 60 hectares on poor alluvial soils, at 650 m altitude, in an ideal cool climate.

Led by Michel Friou, an oenologist trained in Bordeaux, the estate practices sustainable viticulture and very precise parcel-based vinifications. The harvest is manual, fermentations take place in stainless steel tanks, followed by 18 months of aging in new French oak barrels.

✨ Cuvées:

  • Almaviva: iconic wine, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, with Carmenère, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. Deep, silky, long, it rivals the greatest classified growths.

  • EPU: second wine with a more accessible style, perfect for discovering the Almaviva signature.

Why buy it?
