A pillar of Beaune since 1750

Founded by Simon Verry in 1750, the house flourished in the 19th century under the name Chanson. Restored since its acquisition in 1999 by Bollinger, it remains one of the six historical players in Burgundy .

An ambitious & committed terroir

The estate covers 45 ha, mostly in Premiers and Grands Crus (Beaune, Savigny, Pernand, Corton…), with organic viticulture committed since 2000, focused on plowing, manual harvesting, and the abandonment of herbicides .

Terroir vinifications & delicate aging

All wines are fermented in whole clusters, whites pressed “à la champenoise”, then vinified in the historical bastion of Beaune with thick walls. Aging in limited barrels (≤ 30% new for reds, ≤ 20% for whites) ensures finesse and elegance ().

Signature style: freshness & clarity

The wines express great purity, with precise tannic structure, ripe fruit, salinity, and vibrant tension. The Premiers Crus like Clos des Mouches, Clos des Fèves, or Savigny la Dominode recall the typical elegance of Beaune .

Iconic cuvées

  • Beaune 1er Cru : Clos des Mouches, Clos des Fèves (monopoly)

  • Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru “La Dominode”: complexity and refined structure

  • Corton Blanc “Les Vergennes”, Pernand, Corton: references in white terroir

  • Marsannay, Chambertin-Clos de Bèze: offered by the house through trading and own plots
