A domain rooted in family history
Active in Meursault since the 17th century, the domain is now led by Charles Ballot, 15th generation, at the helm since 2000 . His family respectfully cultivates nearly 12 ha: 8 ha of Chardonnay, 2 ha of Pinot Noir, and 0.5 ha of Aligoté ().
Natural viticulture & manual harvesting
Goodbye herbicides: plowing, cover cropping, manual harvesting, and homeopathic treatments preserve the soil and the health of the vines .
Fine winemaking and balanced aging
No fining or filtering: the whites ferment in barrels (12 months) then spend 6 months in stainless steel tanks, and the reds are aged 18 months in barrels with monitoring in tanks . Traditional methods ensure freshness and precision.
Style: purity, tension & elegance
The Chardonnays offer aromatic intensity, zest, and salinity — let's mention Meursault Narvaux, Charmes, Perrières, and Genevrières for their depth . The reds (Pommard, Volnay, Beaune) focus on infusion rather than extraction, with silky tannins and a dense aromatic palette .
