A founding lineage, a legendary man

The estate was founded in 1871, and Bruno – third generation – took the reins in his adolescence, becoming one of the few to vinify Barolo and Barbaresco crus in single-vineyard cuvées from the 1960s. Recognized as the “Genius of Neive,” he made his mark on the history of Piedmont with his obsession for quality.

Estate and terroirs: mythical sites owned

Since the 1980s, Bruno has acquired the famous parcels Falletto (Serralunga), Asili & Rabajà (Barbaresco), La Morra… totaling about 20 ha. These exposures at 400 m altitude offer an ideal microclimate for Nebbiolo.

Viticulture & winemaking: modernized tradition

Philippines “updated traditional”: manual harvesting, long macerations (30 to 50 days in stainless steel tanks), gentle fermentation, aging 3–4 years in 50 hL botti then bottling without filtration. The Riserva, always labeled “red label,” are only from the best vintages.

Signature style: purity, depth, finesse

The single-vineyard Barolo and Barbaresco reveal a solid but refined tannic structure, notes of black cherry, undergrowth, spices, and a magnificent evolution in the bottle. The whites (Arneis, Dolcetto, Barbera) also make their mark: freshness, fruit, and elegance.

Iconic cuvées

  • Barbaresco Asili & Rabajà: two faces of Nebbiolo, feminine vs masculine according to daughter Bruna.

  • Barolo Falletto, Le Rocche del Falletto Riserva (red label): icons of the estate, deep and aristocratic.

  • Casa Vinicola labels (Nebbiolo d’Alba, Roero Arneis): more accessible expression but always carefully crafted.

Today, daughter Bruna continues this demanding work.
