Domaine David Clark – The Pure Expression of Burgundy

Created in 2004 by David W. Clark, a passionate engineer and former Formula 1 professional, the estate is part of a quest for authenticity and respect for the Burgundy terroir. Located in the heart of Morey-Saint-Denis, it operates about 2 hectares of vineyards planted mainly with Pinot Noir, on clay-limestone soils typical of the Côte de Nuits.

The estate favors biodynamic viticulture and natural winemaking, with manual harvesting, slow fermentations carried out with indigenous yeasts, and discreet aging in mostly used French oak barrels. This meticulous work aims to reveal the purity of the fruit, the minerality of the terroir, and the tannic finesse.

The wines of the estate, while elegant and delicate, stand out for their depth and ability to evolve favorably over a decade. They express a rich aromatic palette, blending cherry, raspberry, sweet spices, and subtle notes of undergrowth and wet stone. The fine and velvety tannic structure perfectly balances freshness and concentration.

Iconic Cuvées:

  • Morey-Saint-Denis
A village wine with finesse, it reveals delicate aromas of red and black fruits, as well as a freshness that carries the length on the palate. Ideal for aging 5 to 10 years, it embodies the typicity of Pinot Noir on a classic terroir.

  • Morey-Saint-Denis Les Porroux
From a particular plot, this cuvée is more concentrated and structured, with intense notes of blackberry, licorice, and a pronounced minerality. Its controlled aging gives it remarkable aging potential.

  • Vosne-Romanée
A rarity for the estate, this wine is recognized for its aromatic complexity, blending floral elegance, spices, and a fine tannic framework. It offers a beautiful harmony between power and delicacy, promising harmonious evolution over more than a decade.
