Domaine Rossignol-Trapet — Burgundy with clarity and care
A union of two old Burgundian families, Domaine Rossignol-Trapet is based in Gevrey-Chambertin and now run by brothers David and Nicolas Rossignol. With about 14 hectares of vineyards, the estate works some of the finest plots in the Côte de Nuits, farmed biodynamically since 2004 and certified in 2008.
The goal: to produce clean, precise, age-worthy Pinots that honor their site.
Philosophy and winemaking
The estate is fully biodynamic, with careful soil work, natural preparations, and a deep respect for lunar rhythms. Harvesting is manual, with strict sorting.
Vinifications are gentle and minimalist. Indigenous yeasts, light extraction, and a variable use of whole clusters depending on the vintage. Aging takes place in oak barrels with minimal new oak over 12 to 18 months. The approach is all about letting terroir shine.
Wine style
Rossignol-Trapet wines are elegant, balanced, and energetic, with fine tannins and a core of bright, pure fruit. Each cru offers a distinct identity, interpreted with finesse and restraint. Expect notes of red berries, spice, floral hints, and a stony backbone. The wines age gracefully, yet are approachable in youth.

A domaine of integrity and rising acclaim
