A Human Adventure Above All

Created by Stéphane Derenoncourt, then taken over and enhanced by Jean-Benoît Dauré, Domaine de l’Aventure is now a rising star of La Livinière (Languedoc). Jean-Benoît, son of Catalan winemakers, settled there in 2001 and left a unique mark: handwork, respect for the soil, intuition in blending.

A Limestone and Sunny Terroir

Located on the heights of La Livinière, in the heart of Minervois, the estate spans about 20 ha of stony, limestone, and clay-limestone soils. The altitude (250–300 m) and North/Northeast exposure bring freshness and balance to ripe grape varieties:

Living Vineyard, Natural Vinifications

Work in the vineyard is done with sustainable agriculture (close to organic), manual harvesting in crates, careful sorting in the vineyard and cellar. Vinifications are natural: indigenous yeasts, gentle extractions, long macerations. Aging is done in barrels or foudres, depending on the cuvées, sometimes in amphora.

Style: Richness, Precision, Depth

The wines of l’Aventure are powerful, concentrated yet always elegant. Freshness counterbalances the ripeness of the fruits. On the palate: density, silky tannins, mineral tension, and a long finish. The whites surprise with their floral and saline balance.
