Domaine Henri Cruchon – A family, a place, a living vision of wine

Located in Morges, on the slopes of Lake Geneva in the canton of Vaud (Switzerland), the Domaine Henri Cruchon is a family estate emblematic of modern Vaudois viticulture. For several generations, the Cruchon family has shaped a vineyard with a strong identity, emphasizing biodynamics, respect for living things, and the pure expression of terroirs.

The history of the estate takes a decisive turn with Henri Cruchon, a central figure in the qualitative renewal of the Vaudois vineyard. His work is now continued with commitment by Michel and Raoul Cruchon, as well as the new generation — notably Alexandre and Mélanie Cruchon, trained internationally and highly invested in biodynamic practices.

The estate cultivates nearly 50 hectares around Morges, on clay-limestone, moraine, and gravelly soils. This geological mosaic is the basis for meticulous parcel work, with more than 15 grape varieties vinified separately, including emblematic varieties like Chasselas, but also Pinot Noir, Gamaret, Viognier, Savagnin, and other indigenous or rare grape varieties.

The viticulture has been biodynamically certified (Demeter) for several years. Treatments are plant-based, the soils are alive and plowed, and the harvests are always manual. The cellar follows the same philosophy: minimal interventions, natural fermentations, little or no sulfur depending on the cuvées, aging on lees, sometimes in amphorae, concrete tanks, or barrels depending on the profiles.

The Cruchon style is vibrant, precise, tense, with a true sense of place. The Chasselas gains energy and salinity, the reds express finesse and maturity, and the cuvées in amphora or without sulfur offer another perspective on the purity and vitality of the wine.
