A historic estate, modernized by Charles
Created in 1858, the 14–14.5 ha estate in Vosne-Romanée spans generations (Arnoux then Lachaux) until Charles, who took the reins in 2012–2015 alongside his mother, Florence .
Radical biodynamics & innovative practices
Since 2012, the estate has followed biodynamic principles (certified), with high trellising, goblet pruning, untrimmed vines, no-till, eco-grazing, and ground cover .
Minimal vinification & sober aging
Whole harvests (~100%), short fermentations, gentle extraction. Before 2022, aging in barrels (10–30% new depending on the cru), since 2022: use of stoneware containers .
Style: purity, finesse, intensity
The Pinot Noirs reveal infused materials, precise fruits, silky tannins, and a saline tension — pure expression of the Vosne, Nuits, and grand cru terroirs (Latricières, Echézeaux, Clos de Vougeot…) .
