Historical Elegance on Limestone Plateau
Château de Ferrand, a jewel located in the heart of the Saint-Émilion appellation, is set within a 50-hectare park planted on an exceptional terroir. Owned by the Perrin family since 2008, the estate combines traditional sobriety with a contemporary vision, driven by Jean-Pierre and Christophe Perrin.

Terroir & Grapes: Finesse and Depth
The 22-hectare vineyard is located on the first slopes of Saint-Émilion, facing southeast, with deep limestone soil mixed with ferruginous clay. Typical blend: Merlot (~60%), Cabernet Franc (~35%), and a hint of Cabernet Sauvignon (~5%). The vines, aged 25 to 40 years, benefit from sustainable cultivation.

Viticulture & Philosophy: Balance and Rigor
Sustainable viticulture, respecting natural grass cover, biodiversity, and integrated pest management. Manual harvesting carried out in several successive selections. Rigorous parcel selection to enhance the typicity of each grape variety and terroir.

Vinification & Aging: Limestone Precision
Parcels vinified separately in stainless steel and wooden vats with long macerations of 3 to 4 weeks. Gravity draining to preserve the integrity of the fruit. Aging for 16 to 18 months in French oak barrels, 50% of which are new, with light stirring to bring finesse without heaviness.

Iconic Cuvées

  • Château de Ferrand: the main cuvée, elegant and saline, with fresh red fruits, violet, cedar, and spicy nuances. Fine tannins, long mineral finish.

  • Les Périers de Ferrand: a second wine that is accessible and refined, fruity and enjoyable from the first years.

  • Ferrand Blanc: a rare white from the estate, produced in small quantities, made from Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, lively and fresh.
