A family and heritage legacy
Anchored in the Taravo Valley, this family estate continues a saga initiated in the 19th century. Antoine Abbatucci laid the foundations of a conservatory of native grape varieties in the 1960s, which Jean-Charles and his daughter Faustine are now expanding through biodynamics.
A conservatory of rare grape varieties in biodynamics
On 18 hectares of granite slopes exposed at 100 meters altitude, the estate cultivates 18 native Corsican grape varieties (Nielluccio, Sciaccarello, Vermentino, Barbarossa...) according to the strict principles of biodynamics (horse plowing, sheep herd, indigenous yeasts).
Style: purity, finesse, expression of the maquis
The wines reveal elegantly contrasted characters: floral and saline freshness for the whites, fine tannic structure and fruity intensity for the reds, a typically Corsican aromatic universe marked by spices, myrtle, and immortelle.
Iconic cuvées
Faustine (Red, White, Rosé): Family signature, sculpted by the meeting of endemic grape varieties.
Parcellaires: Monte Bianco (100% Sciaccarello), Alte Rosso (100% Barbarossa), Valle di Nero (100% Carcajolo Nero).
Collections: Diplomate d’Empire, Ministre Impérial, Général de la Révolution: complex blends of many ancient varieties, aged for a long time in demi-muids.
Philosophy: terroir, rarity, authenticity
Manual harvesting, parcel selection, precise vinifications, aging in demi-muids or foudres, all contribute to translating the richness of the Corsican maquis and the ampelographic diversity into a bold, sincere, and elegant style.
