Cru Classé de 1855, Château Suduiraut is a sweet treasure located in Preignac, with approximately 80 hectares of vines exposed to the morning mist that promotes noble rot. Under the guidance of the de Suduiraut family, the estate combines tradition and innovation to produce a rich, complex, and finely crafted wine, offering a perfect balance between sweetness, freshness, and length.

Terroir & grape varieties

Gravel and white clay soil, ideal for aromatic concentration. The blend is dominated by ≈85% Sémillon, complemented by Sauvignon Blanc and sometimes Muscadelle, carefully planted in an autumnal climate conducive to botrytization.

Viticulture & winemaking

Controlled yields, hand-harvested in several successive passes. The botrytized grapes are carefully selected. Parcel-based vinification in stainless steel tanks or old barrels, with a long aging of 18 to 24 months in barrels (≈30–40% new) to bring complexity and richness.

Iconic cuvées

  • Château Suduiraut (grand vin): majestic, with aromas of honey, candied apricot, spices, with an exceptional finish.

  • Château de Suduiraut (second wine): fresher and more accessible, for immediate pleasure while retaining the signature of the terroir.
