Domaine Dard et Ribo – The Natural Excellence of Northern Rhône
Founded in 1984 in Mercurol by René-Jean Dard and François Ribo, Domaine Dard et Ribo is an essential reference for natural wines from the northern Rhône. With only 9 hectares cultivated biodynamically, the estate embraces a philosophy respectful of nature, excluding any chemical inputs and adopting a minimalist approach in the cellar.
The vines, aged 25 to 80 years, thrive on rich and diverse terroirs, mixing deep clays, schists, and kaolin soils, spread across the Crozes-Hermitage, Hermitage, and Saint-Joseph appellations. This geological mosaic gives each cuvée a unique identity, both powerful and precise.
Vinification relies exclusively on indigenous yeasts, with natural fermentation and no added sulfur. Aging in used oak barrels and concrete vats allows for a pure expression of fruit and terroir, while promoting the freshness and longevity of the wines.
The Dard et Ribo style is distinguished by great tannic finesse, invigorating acidity, and intense aromas of black fruits, sweet spices, as well as mineral notes evoking stone and damp earth. The wines possess a silky texture and rare elegance, offering a perfect balance between power and delicacy.

Hermitage Rouge
A blend of the historic plots “Papi Fourmille,” “Varogne,” and “Thouet,” this red wine embodies all the complexity of the terroir. From old vines up to 80 years, it reveals a rich aromatic palette where ripe fruits, white pepper, undergrowth, and graphite mingle. Its firm tannic structure and mineral freshness ensure exceptional aging potential, to be savored over 10 to 15 years.
Crozes-Hermitage Blanc "Les Karrières"
This pure white made from Marsanne, planted on decades-old kaolin soil, offers an aromatic explosion of exotic fruits, candied lemon, and fresh almonds. Its natural aging preserves a beautiful acidity and vibrant minerality, giving it a remarkable balance between richness and lightness.
Saint-Joseph Rouge "Les Champs"
Made from biodynamically grown vines, this expressive red combines the depth of black fruits with a subtle spicy touch. Its palate is fleshy and well-structured, supported by supple tannins and persistent freshness. Aging without new wood guarantees aromatic purity and a velvety texture.
