Based in Morey-Saint-Denis, Domaine Stéphane Magnien is a small, family-run estate with deep roots and a clear modern vision. Stéphane, the latest in a long lineage of vignerons, produces Pinot Noirs of finesse and transparency, where purity of fruit and expression of terroir take center stage.
With vineyards in prime sites across Morey, Chambolle, and Gevrey, his wines reflect a gentle, minimalist approach that privileges balance over power.
The estate is organically farmed, with great care for soil life and biodiversity. Harvesting is done by hand, with partial destemming depending on vintage and plot.
Fermentations are native, extractions are light, and aging is done in mostly neutral oak. Bottled with little or no filtration, and minimal sulfur, the wines retain their vibrancy and precision.
These are light-footed, refined Burgundies, marked by fresh red fruit, fine tannins, and a sense of energy. There’s no excess, just clarity and structure. Accessible young, they also age gracefully, gaining in complexity without losing their drinkability.
Morey-Saint-Denis “Très Girard” – Juicy, bright, and charming.
Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru “Les Faconnières” – Elegant and poised, with aging potential.
Chambolle-Musigny – Delicate and floral, pure silk.
Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru – Sublime texture, great length and finesse.
Bourgogne Pinot Noir – Fresh and lively, an ideal introduction to the estate.
Domaine Stéphane Magnien proves that grace and authenticity can go hand in hand. His wines are a true reflection of place, handled with humility and care — for lovers of Burgundy in its most honest and digestible form.
