Domaine de la Rochette – Family Expertise at the Heart of the Loire

A Beautiful Family Story in Service of the Terroir

Located in Pouillé in Touraine, the Domaine de la Rochette is a family estate for several generations, now managed by Laurent and his son Julien Bergère, who continue the work of precision and authenticity with a modern and respectful approach to life.

A Vineyard Diversified in Grape Varieties and Terroirs

The estate covers about 45 hectares, on varied soils (clay-limestone, flint, sands) conducive to a beautiful diversity of profiles. It highlights the classic Loire grape varieties:

  • Sauvignon Blanc, the king grape variety in Touraine,

  • Chardonnay,

  • Côt (Malbec),

  • Cabernet Franc,

  • Gamay and Pineau d’Aunis.

Great attention is paid to soil balance and environmental preservation, with sustainable agriculture practices and low-intervention winemaking.

Precise Winemaking and Great Drinkability

The winemaking is done in stainless steel tanks or barrels, depending on the cuvées, to preserve the fruit's brightness and the terroirs' typicity. The estate's style favors freshness, aromatic clarity, and beautiful tension, with wines often appreciated for their digestibility and clear expression.

A Coherent and Expressive Range

The estate offers a beautiful diversity of cuvées, from thirst-quenching wines to more structured expressions:

  • Touraine Sauvignon: lively, lemony, ideal as an aperitif or with seafood.

  • Cuvée “Les Grands Champs”: parcel-based Sauvignon on flint, finesse, and minerality.

  • Touraine Rosé: delicious and refreshing, often made from Gamay or Côt.

  • Cuvée “Origine” red: Malbec-Cabernet Franc, ample and supple wine.

  • Crémant de Loire: fine bubbles, balanced, perfect as an aperitif.
