Centennial heritage, fruity purity, and perfectly balanced style

Anchored on approximately 18 ha of gravel and clay in the north of Pomerol, Château Rouget has belonged to the Labruyère family since 1992. Emerging from the past as one of the historical great wines of Pomerol, it has regained its place of excellence with the technical support of Michel Rolland and the rigorous management of Antoine Ribeiro.

Terroir & grape varieties

  • Sandy-clay gravel soils, optimal exposure at the water's edge.

  • Vines approximately 40 years old, densely planted (~7,500 vines/ha).

  • Classic blend: ≈ 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc.

Viticulture & aging

  • Traditional cultivation, manual harvesting, strict sorting, and parcel-based vinification.

  • Partial vinification in micro-cuvées (fermentation in barrels).

  • Aging for about 15–18 months in French barrels (≈ 50% new).
