Based in Monforte d’Alba, the Brovia estate is renowned for its expertise in Barolo crus, notably the vineyard selections Bussia, Rocche di Monforte, and Cannubi. The estate's approach combines terroir precision, vine altitude, and family know-how, ensuring consistent quality across its range.

Philosophy & Winemaking

Brovia advocates for respectful viticulture, balancing tradition and innovation. The grapes are hand-sorted, destemmed, and expertly fermented, then fully aged in French oak barrels and wooden botti. Extractions are delicate, and macerations are long, allowing for the development of complexity and the tannic structure characteristic of Nebbiolo from Barolo.

Iconic Cuvées

  • Barolo Bussia: a powerful and refined cru, from a steep hillside terroir, rich in red fruits, sweet spices, and finesse.

  • Barolo Rocche di Monforte: a mineral and intense expression of an exposed cru, with floral notes and fine tannins.

  • Barolo Cannubi: the most elegant and classic of Brovia's Barolos, silky, with aromas of rose, cherry, and undergrowth.

  • Brovia Botte Alte & Carobric: rare single-vineyard Barolos, sharp and precise, vinified and aged in old barrels.

Wine Style

Brovia's Barolos are renowned for their refinement and distinguished elegance in the traditional Piedmont style. The tannins are fine and silky, the acidity is lively, and the aromatic palette is sophisticated. Thanks to favorable altitude, the wines retain freshness and tension, with an aging potential of 15 to 20 years or more depending on the vintage.
