Located in the heart of the Margaux appellation, Château Cantenac Brown embodies the rare union between Bordeaux classicism and architectural boldness. Founded in the early 19th century by the Scotsman John Lewis Brown, the estate captivates with its Tudor-style chartreuse, unique in the Médoc. Since 2019, under the impetus of Tristan Le Lous, an ambitious ecological transition project has been initiated, notably with the construction of a bioclimatic cellar made of raw earth.

Exceptional terroir in the heart of the Cantenac plateau

The vineyard extends over 60 hectares of deep gravel, typical of the Cantenac plateau, offering optimal drainage. The grape variety consists of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Franc, with a precise plot-based approach that respects the identity of each soil.

A sustainable and demanding viticulture

Committed to an ecological and responsible approach, the estate is in organic conversion and aims for carbon neutrality. Gravity vinification is conducted with precision, followed by aging for 16 to 18 months in French oak barrels (up to 60% new). The wine style combines contained power, balance, elegance, and freshness.
