Taittinger Collection Matta 1992
Taittinger Collection Matta 1992 – Champagne Brut
From Taittinger’s exclusive Collection series, this 1992 vintage pays tribute to Chilean surrealist Roberto Matta. Each bottle is individually adorned with a custom artwork, marrying fine art with aged Champagne.
Crafted from select Grand Cru parcels, vinified in stainless steel, with no malolactic fermentation to preserve its linear tension. It aged extensively on lees in the chalk cellars of Reims before late disgorgement.
Nose: Mature and expressive: dried apricot, fig, marzipan, honeycomb, brioche, subtle truffle and sea breeze notes.
Palate: Precise attack, vinous mid-palate. The mousse is integrated and refined. Flavors of citrus peel, baked orchard fruit, spice and a long, saline finish.
