Château Pichon comtesse lalande 1989 (Magnum, 1.5 l)
Magnum Château Pichon comtesse lalande 1989
The nose is immediately expressive and refined, offering a harmonious blend of ripe plum, blackcurrant, blond tobacco, cedar, mint, graphite, and a hint of vanilla, all reflecting the wine’s noble bottle age. On the palate, the texture is velvety, the mouthfeel ample and supple, with the softness typical of great vintages at full maturity. The structure remains beautifully balanced, supported by a mellow acidity and fully integrated tannins. The tasting experience lingers with elegant tertiary notes of pipe tobacco, leather, and sweet spices, adding depth and complexity. The tannins are now perfectly softened, making the wine immediately enjoyable without the need for extended decanting, while still showing a lovely evolution with air.
