Pinot Noir Talheim Chalofe 2019 - TOM LITWAN
Thalheim Chalofe 2019 – A natural Pinot Noir by Tom Litwan, precise and vibrant, with pure fruit and a mineral finish.
"The 2019 Thalheim Chalofe is deep and fine on the intense and complex nose that reveals an amalgam of perfectly ripe but refined and elegant cherry and dark berry aromas with herbal and chalky terroir and even meaty notes. Rich, intense and elegant on the palate, this is a full-bodied yet fascinatingly pure, finessed, refreshing and chalky Chalofe (limekiln) Pinot with very fine, chalky tannins that are seamlessly intertwined with the delicate but oh-so-refreshing acidity. Initially generous, silky textured, round and quite sweet, this Pinot develops purity, finesse and elegance with every hour and even every day in the open bottle. Definitely an Aargau grand cru that develops its full complexity and finesse slowly, but it rewards the patient among us. The finish reveals seamless, fine, elegant and initially crunchy tannins of perfect ripeness and finesse."
