Vintages

```html
1978 was an exceptional year for the Rhone region and particularly for the Côte-Rôtie wines, which are still sublime today.
In Bordeaux, despite deplorable weather until the beginning of August, the vintage was saved by an exceptional late season allowing for excellent grape maturity. The late harvest resulted in intensely fruity wines, very colorful and moderately tannic. There are remarkable successes in the Graves, as well as in most of the great Médoc crus. The vast majority of these wines are now at maturity.
In Burgundy, the exceptional late-season weather conditions ensured the complete maturity of a perfectly healthy harvest.
The great wines of the 1978 vintage:
Extraordinary wines : Hermitage la Chapelle 1978 Jaboulet, Guigal La Mouline 1978.
Exceptional wines : Henry Bonneau Châteauneuf du Pape réserve des Célestins 1978, Châteauneuf du Pape Clos des Papes 1978, Giacomo Conterno Barolo Riserva Montortino 1978, Chave Hermitage 1978, Mission Haut Brion 1978.
