A family jewel in the heart of the Provençal vineyard
Anchored in Lorgues, Château des Tours has been run since 1993 by the Bouyssières family, with Patrick Bouyssières at the helm. Representing the third generation, he relies on Emmanuelle Bouyssières, oenologist and technical director, to express finesse, terroir, and Mediterranean elegance.
Terroir & grape varieties: limestone and roundness
The vineyard extends over 40 ha of clay-limestone soils, facing south around the medieval castle: the red wines combine Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Grenache; the rosés and whites are based on Rolle, Vermentino, and Clairette.
Viticulture & philosophy: tradition and respect
The estate practices sustainable farming, hand-harvested, with partial biodynamics on certain cuvées. Rigorous parcel selection, low yields, and respect for the natural rhythm of the soils are at the heart of the approach.
Vinification & aging: elegance and purity
Separate vinifications by grape variety and terroir, in thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks. Short macerations for rosés, traditional for reds. Aging from 6 to 12 months depending on the cuvée, in stainless steel tanks for rosés, demi-muids, and barrels for reds.
Iconic cuvées
– Château des Tours Rouge: Syrah–Grenache–Cabernet, aromas of blackberry, tapenade, sweet spices, velvety tannins.
– Château des Tours Rosé: pale, fresh, notes of strawberry, peach, aromatic herbs, vibrant palate.
– Château des Tours Blanc: urban and expressive, Rolle–Vermentino, citrus, white flowers, mineral.
– Vielles Vignes (Red/White): from ancient terroirs, concentrated and refined expression.
