A family estate affirmed by a passion for quality
Château la Commanderie is a small family estate, led by Valérie Dupont, heiress and cellar master, supported by Antoine Dupont, technical manager, as well as the oenologist Clara Martin, expert in South-West terroirs. Together, they reveal the aromatic finesse and typicity of their wines.

Terroir & grape varieties: diversity of soils and local blends
The vineyard (6 ha) is planted on clay-limestone soils mixed with sands and gravel. The grape varieties, typical of the region, are distributed between Sémillon (~40%), Sauvignon Blanc (~35%), Muscadelle (~15%) and Gewurztraminer or Chenin (~10%), with a segmentation between dry and sweet cuvées.

Viticulture & philosophy: precision, fractional harvesting
Sustainable viticulture, plot selection, manual harvesting in several passes to ensure maturity or controlled botrytis. The Duponts place particular importance on sanitary quality and the expression of the micro-terroir.

Vinification & aging: mastered elegance
– For dry whites: vinification in thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks, low-temperature fermentation, aging on fine lees (4–6 months).
– For sweet wines (Monbazillac or Late Harvest): botrytized harvests, delicate pressing, partial fermentation, followed by short aging in barrels (6–8 months) to bring roundness and complexity.

Iconic cuvées
– Château la Commanderie Blanc Sec: lively, fresh, citrus aromas, white flowers and mineral notes, saline tension.
– Monbazillac / Late Harvest: golden robe, nose of honey, quince, candied apricot and sweet spices, balanced, sweet and saline palate, excellent aging potential.
– Rosé de la Commanderie (if produced): light, fresh red fruits, summer liveliness and elegance.
