Founded in 1835, Domaine Matrot stands as a pillar of Meursault’s legacy. Now under the leadership of sixth-generation sisters Elsa and Adèle, alongside parents Thierry and Pascale, the estate spans over 23 hectares across the Côte de Beaune — including revered sites in Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Auxey-Duresses, Monthélie, and Maranges.
The estate's plots unfold across a rich mosaic: Meursault Premier Crus like Charmes, Perrières, and Blagny; esteemed sites of Puligny; and fine red appellations such as Maranges and Blagny “La Pièce sous le Bois.” This diversity brings balance, texture, and mineral depth, all hallmarks of Matrot’s makeup.
Matrot wines are defined by balanced purity and elegant structure. White wines deliver mineral tension, saline freshness, and a vibrant texture. Reds are refined, with subtle tannins and understated fruit. The winemaking style is restrained: slow fermentations, minimal new oak, and terroir-forward precision, resulting in expressive, age-worthy wines.
Meursault 1er Cru (Charmes, Perrières, Blagny) – Charmes exudes sensuality, Perrières embodies upright refinement, and Blagny offers profound, intriguing minerality.

From the 1970s, Matrot moved away from chemical fertilizers and embraced organic farming by the 1990s–2000s. Vineyard care is holistic—organic compost, careful soil tilling, and manual harvesting. Winemaking emphasizes authenticity—native yeast fermentations, long aging on lees, minimal new oak, all to let terroir speak. The sisters have refined this tradition with modern precision in the winery, yet always honoring family heritage. The result: wines of elegance, finesse, and profound nuance—true ambassadors of Burgundy’s soul.
