A discreet gem of Pomerol, between tradition and subtlety

Located on the southern part of the famous Pomerol plateau, Château Latour à Pomerol enjoys a privileged position among the mythical estates of the appellation. This cru should not be confused with Château Latour de Pauillac. It belongs to Domaines Jean-Pierre Moueix, with technical management ensured by a team dedicated to the fine and sincere expression of the terroir.

Terroir & grape varieties

The vineyard extends over approximately 8 hectares of deep gravel and clay, mainly planted with Merlot (~90%), complemented by Cabernet Franc (~10%). These soils offer a combination of density, roundness, and elegance characteristic of the best Pomerol.

Philosophy & winemaking

The vineyard work is done with a respectful approach, with controlled yields and manual harvesting. The vinification is parcel-based, in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats. The aging lasts about 16 to 18 months in oak barrels, some of which are new, depending on the profile of the vintage. The style is harmonious, often less demonstrative than its illustrious neighbors, but with remarkable depth.

Flagship cuvée

  • Château Latour à Pomerol: the estate's unique wine, with a dark robe, a nose of black fruits, truffle, violet, and graphite, with an enveloping, silky, and racy palate. A Pomerol of classic elegance, with refined evolution.
