Emmanuel Rouget — Silent Heir of Cros-Parantoux

Based in Flagey-Echézeaux, Emmanuel Rouget is one of the most respected winemakers in Burgundy. As the nephew of the legendary Henri Jayer, he took over the family estate in the 1990s, continuing a legacy of refined, terroir-driven winemaking.

Philosophy and Production

Rouget follows the principles taught by his uncle: hand-harvesting, low yields, gentle vinification, and aging in oak barrels (with moderate new wood). No tricks — just harmony between grape, site, and vintage.

His vineyards are carefully tended using sustainable practices, spanning some of the most prized appellations in the Côte de Nuits.

Wine Style

Rouget’s wines are known for their elegance, depth, and remarkable aging potential. They offer refined notes of red berries, rose, truffle, and forest floor, with a silky yet structured mouthfeel.

Each cuvée conveys purity and rare emotional intensity.
