A rigorous ambassador of Pauillac, entrusted to the Miailhe family
Owned by the Miailhe family for several decades, Château Grand‑Puy‑Lacoste is currently managed by Christian Miailhe, supported by his son Antoine, technical director, and the oenologist Xavier Maréchal. Together, they cultivate a classic vision marked by precision, concentration, and finesse.

Terroir & grape varieties: exceptional Garonne gravel
The vineyard extends over 40 ha of deep Garonne gravel typical of Pauillac. The blend is balanced: Cabernet Sauvignon (~65%), Merlot (~30%), Petit Verdot (~5%), expressing power, tension, and elegance.

Viticulture & philosophy: balance, rigor, and respect for the soil
Sustainable viticulture with selective grassing, traditional pruning, and hand harvesting. Each plot is vinified separately, with selective sorting, to enhance typicity and fruity purity.

Vinification & aging: concentration and woody finesse
Vinification in thermoregulated stainless steel vats, macerations of 3 to 4 weeks, gentle pump-overs. Aging for 18 to 20 months in French barrels (≈ 50% new), to structure the wine while preserving its freshness.

Iconic cuvées
Château Grand‑Puy‑Lacoste (Grand Vin): powerful and slender, nose of blackcurrant, graphite, blond tobacco, and spices; firm but silky tannins, saline and long finish.
La Réserve du Grand‑Puy‑Lacoste: second wine fruity and elegant, ready young but with a beautiful structure.
