Domaine de Cabasse – Harmony of the place, authenticity of flavors

Family passion, southern finesse, and respect for the terroir

Located in Séguret, one of the most beautiful villages in France, Domaine de Cabasse has embodied the sunny elegance of the southern Côtes du Rhône for several decades. Nestled against the Dentelles de Montmirail, the estate is managed with care, in an artisanal approach that prioritizes precision, respect for the plant, and the natural expression of the soil.

Terroir & grape varieties
The vines, spread over the appellations of Séguret, Côtes du Rhône Villages, and Gigondas, rest on soils of marl, rolled pebbles, and clay, between 200 and 400 m altitude. The estate values traditional grape varieties: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault for reds, Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne for whites.

Viticulture & winemaking
Sustainable farming, manual harvesting, selective sorting in the parcel, fermentation in concrete or stainless steel tanks, and aging adapted to each cuvée: everything is done to preserve the freshness, structure, and typicity of the fruit. The planting of old vines, often non-irrigated, gives the wines a beautiful natural density.

Style & aging
The wines combine structure, indulgence, and freshness. They feature aromas of ripe fruits, garrigue herbs, black pepper, and olive, supported by ripe tannins and a lovely persistence. The premium cuvées reveal a true aging potential, especially in Gigondas.

Iconic cuvées

  • Gigondas: deep and racy wine, between black fruits, warm spices, and velvety tannins. Good aging potential (10–15 years).

  • Séguret Vieilles Vignes: finesse, minerality, and purity, combining crunchy red fruits and floral notes.

  • Côtes du Rhône Villages: accessible balance and southern charm, a perfect ambassador of the estate.
