Domaine Laroche – Precision and Purity in the Heart of Chablis
Based in the historic Obédiencerie of Chablis, Domaine Laroche manages around 90 hectares of Chardonnay vineyards across the region’s most emblematic sites—including Grand Cru holdings in Le Clos and Blanchot, and several outstanding Premier Cru parcels like Vaudevey, Fourchaume, and Butteaux.
The vineyards are farmed sustainably with a strong ecological focus: no herbicides, shallow ploughing, manual work and a strict, plot-by-plot approach. Each climat is treated as a unique expression, and vinified separately to reflect the singularity of the Kimmeridgian limestone soils.
In the winery, gentle whole-cluster pressing precedes native yeast fermentations. Wines are aged on fine lees in stainless steel or older oak barrels, depending on the cuvée. The use of oak is discreet and always in service of clarity, freshness, and the mineral identity that defines Chablis.
Laroche wines are known for their brightness, chalky texture, and elegant austerity. Village-level bottlings are crisp and approachable, Premier Crus gain in depth and aromatic range, and Grand Crus deliver structure, length, and long-term complexity. A house style that favors precision, purity, and restrained power.
Chablis Saint‑Martin – A selection of village plots with tension and saline energy. Aromas of white flowers, citrus peel, and crushed shell. Pure and vibrant.
Premier Cru Les Vaudevey – Partially oak-aged, showing lemon zest, white peach, and gunflint. Focused, clean, with excellent drive.
Premier Cru Fourchaume – Riper style with balance. Hints of yellow fruit and toasted almond. Broad but lifted finish.
Grand Cru Le Clos – Depth and finesse in equal parts. Ripe orchard fruit, crushed stone, hazelnut, and a long saline tail. Built to age gracefully.
