Domaine William Fèvre — Chablis at its purest

Founded in 1959 by William Fèvre, this iconic Chablis estate has grown into one of the region’s largest and most respected producers. With nearly 78 hectares under vine — including a remarkable number of Premier and Grand Cru plots — the domaine is a benchmark for classic, terroir-focused Chablis.

Each wine reflects a deep commitment to expressing the distinctive limestone and Kimmeridgian soils that define this northern Burgundy appellation.

Philosophy and winemaking

Vineyards are farmed using organic principles (with gradual certification), and every step — from harvest to bottling — is carefully managed to preserve purity and place.

Fermentations are cool and gentle; stainless steel is used for freshness in the village wines, while neutral oak barrels are introduced in select crus to add depth without masking terroir.

Wine style

William Fèvre’s wines are known for their clarity, minerality, and elegance. The village wines are bright and clean. Premier Crus bring more volume and nuance, while Grand Crus show impressive depth, salinity, and long-term aging potential.

Each cuvée is precise, mineral, and unmistakably Chablis.

Signature cuvées

  • Chablis – Lively, classic, and unmistakably mineral.

  • Chablis 1er Cru “Vaillons” – Floral, silky, and vibrant.

  • Chablis 1er Cru “Montée de Tonnerre” – Deep and structured, Grand Cru in spirit.

  • Chablis Grand Cru “Les Clos” – Powerful, elegant, age-worthy.

  • Chablis Grand Cru “Bougros Côte Bouguerots” – Taut, salty, and intensely focused.

A pillar of Chablis excellence

With its extraordinary terroirs and precise winemaking, Domaine William Fèvre is a quiet monument of Burgundy, producing wines of unmatched purity, energy, and depth — true to the soul of Chablis.
