Domaine Louis Boillot & Fils – A Family Tradition in the Heart of Burgundy
Domaine Louis Boillot & Fils is located in Chambolle-Musigny, in the prestigious Côte de Nuits region of Burgundy. Founded in 2003 by Louis Boillot, from a family of winemakers in Volnay, the estate covers approximately 7 hectares across several renowned appellations in both the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune.
Since 2013, Louis’s son Clément has taken an active role in managing the estate, ensuring continuity in philosophy and winemaking techniques. The vineyard practices sustainable viticulture with controlled yields and meticulous manual harvesting. Grapes are carefully sorted by plot to highlight the unique expression of each terroir.
Winemaking emphasizes indigenous yeasts and minimal intervention, allowing the pure character of the fruit and soil to shine. The wines are aged in French oak barrels, with a limited use of new wood (around 20-30%), to preserve delicacy and terroir expression.
The wines are known for their finesse, elegance, and aging potential. Pinot Noir, the principal grape, is showcased with precision, revealing vibrant fruit aromas, subtle spice, and floral notes, balanced by silky tannins and fine structure.
