Domaine Grand Veneur – Family Expertise and Rhodanian Identity

The Domaine Grand Veneur, located in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, is an emblematic property of the southern Rhône Valley, managed by the Jaume family for several generations. Today, Sébastien and Christophe Jaume continue the family legacy with rigor and ambition, combining respect for traditions with modern techniques.

The vineyard extends over nearly 80 hectares, spread between Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Lirac, Côtes-du-Rhône, and other crus of the region. The soils are very varied: rolled pebbles, sands, red clays, limestones... Each terroir is vinified separately to bring out the best.

Viticulture & Vinification

The estate follows a sustainable viticulture, with many plots managed in organic farming. The work is manual, yields are controlled, and harvesting is done at full maturity, often sorted on the vine.

The vinifications are parcel-based and precise: total destemming, fermentation in stainless steel or concrete vats, gentle punch-downs. The aging can be done in foudres, demi-muids, or barrels depending on the cuvée and the desired style. The reds are powerful but always balanced by a beautiful freshness, the whites rich and tense.

The Grand Veneur style combines power, concentration, tannic finesse, and aromatic definition. These are wines of character, capable of aging while remaining appealing when young.
