Domaine des Sablonnettes – Life at the Heart of Anjou Wine

A Family and Committed Adventure

Located in Rablay-sur-Layon, the Domaine des Sablonnettes is run by Christine and Joël Ménard, joined since 2011 by their son Jérémie. Pioneers of natural wine in Anjou, they have been advocating since the 1990s for wines without additives, in direct connection with the land, the climate, and the winemaker's hand.

A Living Approach, from Soil to Glass

The estate covers 13 hectares of schist and clay-limestone soils, certified in organic farming since 1996 and managed in biodynamics. Zero pesticides, homemade compost, horse plowing, plant-based treatments: everything is designed to stimulate soil life and promote the expression of the terroir.

Natural and Free Vinifications

The wines are vinified without added yeasts, without sulfur (or in homeopathic doses on certain cuvées), in stainless steel, fiber, or foudre tanks. Each vintage is approached as a unique creation, with an attitude of listening and letting go assumed. Result: wines that are pure, vibrant, sometimes whimsical, always sincere.

Style & Philosophy

Les Sablonnettes offers a wide range, from dry white to sweet, from fruity red to natural sparkling, with a straight, digestible, and lively style, often low in alcohol, always deep in emotion. Far from the standards, these are wines to share, to feel more than to analyze.
