Domaine Sérafin — Rigor and depth in every bottle

Based in Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Sérafin Père et Fils is a small, family-run estate renowned for its classic, long-lived Pinot Noirs. Founded in the 1940s and led for decades by Christian Sérafin, the domaine focuses on traditional winemaking and uncompromising standards.

Working across some of the finest appellations of the Côte de Nuits, production remains limited and highly sought after by collectors and purists.

Philosophy and winemaking

Sérafin’s approach is defined by low yields, strict sorting, and meticulous vinification. Grapes are mostly destemmed, fermentations are long, and extractions are carefully controlled.

All wines are aged in 100% new oak barrels for extended periods — often up to 18 months — resulting in structured, dense wines that demand time to fully reveal their depth and beauty.

Wine style

These are serious, cellar-worthy Pinots, marked by firm tannins, richness, and precision. Youthful austerity gives way to complexity, elegance, and minerality with age.

Each cuvée reflects a classic, confident expression of Burgundy — bold, unhurried, and deeply terroir-driven.

Signature cuvées

  • Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes – Structured and spicy, with deep fruit and aging potential.

  • Chambolle-Musigny – More floral and refined, with focused energy.

  • Morey-Saint-Denis – Tense and earthy, with underlying power.

  • Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru “Les Cazetiers” – A serious, complex Premier Cru with Grand Cru presence.

  • Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru – Rich, rare, and superbly age-worthy.

For lovers of timeless Burgundy

Domaine Sérafin remains a bastion of old-school excellence, producing Pinot Noir with intensity, longevity, and quiet confidence. For those who value authenticity and depth, it is a name to know — and to age.
